Inside Pitch is pleased to announce the inaugural season of IP Summer PONY Baseball League. The league is open to players ages 13 to 15 from Whatcom, Skagit and Island Counties as well as Lower B.C. The goal of the 6-week summer league is to provide players with the opportunity to continue to develop their baseball skills during the summer months. Players will have the chance to work with the knowledgeable and professional coaching staff at Inside Pitch on a weekly basis to ensure each player is exposed to the highest quality instruction available in our area! Individual players are invited to register at Inside Pitch beginning Monday, May 16th, with registration open through the middle of June. Registration will end promptly on June 17th; no registrations will be accepted after the 17th. This is to provide enough time to form teams and place orders for jerseys and hats. Full Teams are also invited to enter the league and may do so at a discounted rate; however, full teams will be required to provide their own coach as well as uniforms, equipment, etc. 

Each team will be provided with a 12 game schedule (possible weekend double-headers) with games beginning the week of June 27th.  There will be no games scheduled for Fourth of July weekend; games will begin again July 6th and will continue through the 2nd weekend of August (the 13th and 14th).  Games will be played on weeknights and some weekends on PONY fields in Whatcom County; however, depending on the teams in the league some travel may be required. 
In addition, each team will be permitted to schedule practice time at Inside Pitch where they will have the opportunity to work with Inside Pitch instructors on hitting, pitching, fielding, etc.  Each team will be allotted 1.5hrs of practice time in the facility each week which will be scheduled prior to the start of the season.  Teams are not required to practice at Inside Pitch (in fact, we recommend an additional outdoor practice every week) but they do have the option if they wish to and would like to take advantage of the first-rate instruction offered by the highly knowledgeable staff at Inside Pitch.
We will be looking for volunteer coaches to run the teams comprised of players who sign up individually, so if you are interested in heading up a summer league team please contact us asap.  We are looking forward to an exciting 6-week season during the “Dog Days of Summer” and we hope to provide a great experience for those players who would otherwise not have a place to play once thee spring PONY season ends in the middle of June.

COST: $150 per player  or  $1,250 per team

Players who register as individuals will be placed on a team and will be provided with a jersey and hat; full teams entering the league will be required to provide their own uniforms and equipment.  Individual and team registration fees are applied toward the cost of field rentals, umpires and league administration for the summer season.

The Bellingham Fall Baseball Program will begin its 7th season this August. In conjunction with Inside Pitch, the league continues to expand and provide a quality, structured environment for baseball throughout the late summer and early fall months.
The goal of the Fall Baseball League is to improve each player's skills in preparation for the following season, and to have fun doing it! We will build on the progress made in the summer leagues and work to prepare each player for the next phase of their baseball experience. Specific rules are in place to provide balance and player involvement in multiple training situations.

Inside Pitch Fall Baseball League

High School Division – Games will be scheduled primarily on Sundays, and will be played on HS fields throughout Whatcom and Skagit Counties (occasional Saturday games may be necessary).  Players will have the opportunity to practice and play for a few more weeks in preparation for the next spring baseball season; and/or have the chance to work-out at a new position in a pressure-free environment.  Teams will have the opportunity to train both indoors at Inside Pitch as well as on the field.  (Some games outside of Whatcom Co.)
*New this year Inside Pitch will put together ONE “Varsity-Level” travelling team comprised of 15 or so of the highest caliber players in our area.  This is a great opportunity for higher level players to gain some exposure as they travel around the state representing Whatcom County. (Exceptions/Adjustments will be made on a case-by-case basis)                                                           

13-14 Division - Based on age as of 4/30/2012. Players must be eligible to play Babe Ruth or Pony Baseball for the 2012 season. Doubleheaders (2 games) will be played on Saturdays, starting August 27th and each team will have the opportunity to play 2 mid-week games during the season.  Makeup games will be played on Sundays if necessary. Games will be played on Pony fields throughout Whatcom County. (80 foot bases and 54 foot mound) *No HS players

10-12 Division - Based on age as of 4/30/2012. Doubleheaders will be played on Saturdays, starting August 27th and each team will have the opportunity to play 2 mid-week games during the season.  Makeup games will be played on Sundays if necessary.  Games are played primarily at the Geri Fields with a few games possible at other fields around Whatcom County.  Field dimensions are 60ft. bases and a 46ft. mound.

10U Instructional - For ages 7 – 10, this class gives kids the opportunity to learn and establish overall fundamentals. Each week there will be a structured practice time that includes drills on fielding, hitting, and throwing. The students will also play scrimmage games with on-field situations in a controlled setting. Great for first time kid pitch or players that want to establish skills in a variety of positions. This class meets once per week (weeknight evening) and on Saturday morning at Inside Pitch or Geri Fields.
