Baseball Development
Baseball 101

Class Description: Geared toward 1st and 2nd year baseball players, this class is designed to help the young ball player become more comfortable on the baseball field. Emphasis is placed on fundamental skill building and general knowledge/rules of the game. Each session will focus on a specific aspect, i.e. offense (hitting & base-running), defense (fielding & throwing) or a combination of the two. Players will also have the opportunity to work on improving their all-around athleticism by incorporating speed and agility drills into each session. In addition to the training players will do on the field (turf), "classroom sessions" are implemented to help reinforce and reiterate what is being covered on the field in a more structured, less chaotic environment. The Baseball 101 program is run by head staff members from Inside Pitch; this is done to ensure that all players participating in the program have the opportunity to learn from some of the most knowledgeable coaches in the area, who have played and experienced the game at some of the highest levels!

Baseball 201

Class Description: Once a player has "graduated" from Baseball 101, the next progression in the Baseball Development Program at Inside Pitch is the Baseball 201 class. Geared toward players who have had 2 to 4 years of playing experience, Baseball 201 takes the fundamentals learned in the Baseball 101 class (or in the players first couple years of organized team baseball) and builds on them. The fundamentals have been learned at this point, and the focus of the Baseball 201 class is more in-depth. Players will have the opportunity to make subtle adjustments specific to their individual game (swing mechanics, throwing mechanics, fielding techniques, etc.) in order to achieve the greatest success on the field. The training implemented in the Baseball 201 program takes the fundamentals players have learned to the next level, allowing each player to continually progress and improve their game. Players will also work on improving their all-around athleticism by incorporating speed and agility drills into each session. The speed and agility drills help players increase reaction time on the field and lead to more base hits on offense and more balls fielded on defense!
